Description We are looking for an experienced Attorney/Lawyer to support a Contract engagement based in Southern California. This opportunity is ideal for a licensed legal specialist with a strong background in civil and probate-related matters who can manage cases with precision and sound judgment. The role focuses on litigation strategy, motion practice, discovery, and probate and estate administration work in a fast-paced legal environment.
Responsibilities:
Represent clients in civil and probate matters, guiding each case from initial assessment through resolution.
Prepare persuasive motions, legal briefs, pleadings, and related filings that align with procedural and substantive requirements.
Lead discovery efforts by drafting requests, reviewing responses, and organizing evidence to support case strategy.
Handle probate litigation issues involving contested estates, fiduciary disputes, and related court proceedings.
Advise on probate and estate administration matters, including filings, timelines, and compliance obligations.
Conduct legal research and develop case strategies based on applicable statutes, regulations, and precedent.
Appear in court proceedings, hearings, mediations, or case conferences as needed for assigned matters.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and legal support staff to maintain accurate documentation and case progress. Requirements
Active license to practice law in good standing.
Demonstrated experience in civil litigation with the ability to manage active casework independently.
Proven skill in drafting motions, briefs, pleadings, and other formal legal documents.
Hands-on experience with discovery, including written discovery, document review, and case preparation.
Background in probate litigation and knowledge of probate law principles and procedures.
Familiarity with probate and estate administration processes, filings, and court requirements.
Strong legal research, analytical reasoning, and written advocacy skills.
