• Legal/Risk Boulder, CO Executive Full-time, Days - 8 hour shifts, M-F Req # 33027 Posted 05/06/2026 Deputy General Counsel Boulder Community Health, Boulder, CO 80303 $227k - $341k annually — Full Time Boulder Community Health is seeking a Deputy General Counsel to support legal operations across the organization.

In partnership with the Chief Legal Officer and the Compliance and Privacy Officer, this role provides strategic legal guidance to leadership and staff, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and supporting key business initiatives. The Deputy General Counsel will research and analyze complex legal issues, draft and negotiate contracts, support corporate transactions, respond to governmental inquiries, and conduct investigations related to legal and compliance matters. This position requires a strong understanding of healthcare law and regulatory frameworks, including fraud and abuse laws, state and federal self-referral regulations, Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement, and privacy requirements. The role also supports areas such as employment law, risk and patient grievance matters, peer review, licensing, policy development, and contract management.

• Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited U.S. law school required.
• Licensed to practice law in the state of Colorado required.
• A minimum of seven years of experience in healthcare law, either in a law firm or a corporate legal setting is required.
• In-house healthcare legal or compliance experience preferred. Responsibilities
• Provide legal guidance to leadership and staff on regulatory, compliance, employment, patient care, and corporate matters impacting the organization
• Research and analyze complex legal issues; develop recommendations and legal opinions to mitigate risk
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts and legal documents, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations
• Support corporate transactions, including due diligence and preparation of transaction-related documents
• Partner with Compliance and leadership to investigate legal and compliance matters and coordinate with outside counsel as needed
• Collaborate with internal teams on risk management, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards (e.g., Joint Commission, CDPHE, HHS)
• Develop and implement legal processes, templates, and training to improve efficiency and consistency across the organization
