Job Description

Our client, a well-established and growing law firm, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Litigation Attorney to join its New Haven office. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced litigator looking to take on sophisticated matters while working alongside a collaborative team of accomplished legal professionals. The ideal candidate will bring 5-15 years of litigation experience and a strong background handling commercial, employment, and/or probate disputes . This role offers significant client interaction, courtroom exposure, and the opportunity to manage cases from inception through resolution. Key Responsibilities Manage a diverse caseload involving commercial litigation, employment disputes, and probate litigation Handle all phases of litigation, including case strategy, pleadings, motions, discovery, depositions, mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation Draft and review motions, briefs, pleadings, contracts, legal memoranda, and other litigation documents Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to support case strategy and client objectives Represent clients in state court proceedings, hearings, depositions, mediations, and other legal proceedings Provide trusted legal counsel and strategic guidance to clients on complex legal matters Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to develop effective litigation strategies Maintain accurate and detailed case files while ensuring exceptional client service Required Qualifications Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school Active Connecticut Bar admission in good standing 5-15 years of litigation experience with demonstrated success handling complex disputes Strong experience in commercial litigation, employment law litigation, probate litigation , or a combination thereof Proven experience practicing in Connecticut State Courts Exceptional legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills Strong understanding of civil procedure, litigation strategy, and case management Ability to independently manage multiple matters while meeting deadlines Excellent client relationship management and communication skills Preferred Qualifications Trial, arbitration, and mediation experience Experience handling sophisticated business disputes and high-value litigation matters Demonstrated ability to develop case strategy and manage matters with minimal supervision What Our Client Offers Opportunity to work on challenging and high-profile litigation matters Collaborative and supportive legal environment Direct client contact and meaningful courtroom experience Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package Long-term career growth and advancement opportunities If you are an experienced litigator seeking a platform to further develop your practice and make an impact, we encourage you to apply.
