Associate Attorney - Litigation (Connecticut) - CT-LIT-0326-A1 About the Role We are seeking a highly capable, self-motivated Associate Attorney to join a well-respected boutique litigation firm in Connecticut. This is a high-impact role where you'll be entrusted with significant responsibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact early on. The firm is motivated to have this role filled as quickly as possible. Key Responsibilities Handle all phases of litigation, with a strong emphasis on trial work Lead and manage cases in criminal litigation, personal injury, and medical malpractice Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and discovery requests Prepare for and take depositions, manage trial preparation, and present in court Develop case strategy independently, making smart, timely decisions Cultivate and manage client relationships; maintain strong communication with clients Build a strong presence in the legal and local community through networking and business development Mentor more junior staff over time (as you grow) Contribute to firm-wide goals, including revenue generation and referral growth Track and maintain a target of ~1,500-1,600 billable hours per year Qualifications Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school Admission to the Connecticut Bar in good standing is required Admission to the Massachusetts Bar is a strong plus, but not mandatory Proven litigation experience, including trial experience Background in criminal law, personal injury, and/or medical malpractice preferred Proven ability to work independently — minimal supervision required Strong judgment and problem-solving skills; you get it done and take ownership Excellent communication (written and verbal) and courtroom presentation skills Business development mindset: driven to network, generate referrals, and grow a book of business Commitment to long-term growth — this role has a well-defined path to partnership Compensation & Benefits Base salary: $100,000-$130,000, depending on experience Bonus potential plus revenue sharing tied to individual performance and business generation Opportunity for partnership in the future Competitive benefits package Why This Role Is Attractive A boutique environment where your work will be highly visible and impactful Significant trial exposure early in your career Autonomy to run your own cases and apply your strategy A clear path to partnership, aligned with growth and business development A driven, professional team that values initiative and high performance For additional information on this opportunity, please contact Brendan Chamberlin directly at (651)364-7403.
