Job Description Job Description Position Overview We are a boutique, one-attorney Family Law firm dedicated to guiding clients through some of life's most emotionally challenging moments with compassion, integrity, and professionalism . While our current caseload focuses exclusively on Florida Family Law , the firm is actively expanding into Estate Planning , offering an exciting opportunity for a paralegal who wants to grow alongside the firm. We are seeking a highly experienced, proactive, and detail-oriented Family Law Paralegal who thrives in a fast-paced, professional environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional client service. If you are organized, resourceful, self-motivated, and experienced in Florida family law , we want to hear from you. Key Responsibilities Draft, prepare, and file pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, financial affidavits, and parenting plans Ensure compliance with the Florida Family Law Rules of Procedure and mandatory disclosure requirements Coordinate, organize, and manage discovery materials and client financial documentation Manage the attorney's calendar, including: Court hearings Depositions Mediation Client meetings Trial deadlines Assist with trial preparation , including exhibits, witness lists, and case organization (Attendance at trial with the attorney to assist with presentation may be required) Electronically file documents via the Florida e-Filing Portal Maintain accurate, organized client files and billing entries in MyCase Track and record time daily to meet the firm's annual billable requirement (1,400-1,600 hours, depending on compensation and experience) Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel Serve as a courteous, empathetic, and professional point of contact for firm clients Required Qualifications 4-5+ years of experience as a Florida Family Law Paralegal 1-2 years of experience as a Florida Estate Planning Paralegal Florida Family Law Rules of Procedure Discovery processes Mandatory disclosure requirements Experience managing financial documentation and affidavits Proficient with Mac computers and comfortable in a paperless environment Experience with MyCase or comparable legal case management and billing software Excellent organization, time management, and communication skills Paralegal certification or equivalent hands-on legal experience required Preferred Skills & Experience Experience assisting with: Mediations Depositions Trial preparation Strong client service skills with a calm and professional demeanor Ability to think critically and independently without constant direction High emotional intelligence and professionalism when handling sensitive matters Proficiency with: Adobe Acrobat Pro DocuSign Dropbox LexisNexis Research
