Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Criminal Defense Attorney to join our legal team. In this role, you will advocate fiercely for clients facing criminal charges, providing expert legal counsel and representation throughout all stages of criminal proceedings. Your energetic approach will help ensure clients receive fair treatment while upholding the highest standards of legal integrity. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in criminal law, excellent research and writing skills, and a passion for justice. Responsibilities Represent clients in all misdemeanor, traffic, and felony criminal cases, including arraignments, hearings, trials, and appeals Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as Westlaw to build compelling defense strategies Draft legal documents, motions, and briefs with precision and clarity Negotiate plea agreements and alternative sentencing options to benefit clients whenever possible Investigate case facts by interviewing witnesses, reviewing evidence, and consulting with experts in fields such as forensic science or environmental law Stay informed about developments in criminal law and related areas. Maintain meticulous case records and ensure compliance with all procedural requirements Skills Strong knowledge of criminal defense procedures and courtroom litigation techniques. At least 3 years of criminal defense trial experience. Proficiency in legal research platforms including Westlaw. Excellent writing skills for drafting motions, pleadings, and client correspondence Skilled in negotiation to achieve favorable outcomes for clients Excellent client communication skills a must, including timely responses to client inquiries and maintaining regular client contact. Legal administrative experience to manage case files efficiently and meet deadlines effectively Exceptional research abilities to analyze complex legal issues across multiple jurisdictions Future Firm ownership opportunities Join our team to champion justice with energy and integrity!
