This role focuses on representing clients in removal proceedings and other complex immigration litigation matters before the Immigration Court and the Board of Immigration Appeals. We are looking for a candidate who is committed to achieving favorable outcomes for our clients and has a minimum of five years of experience in immigration litigation.
Responsibilities:
Represent clients before the Immigration Court (EOIR) in removal proceedings. Prepare and file applications and legal briefs for a variety of immigration litigation matters, including: Asylum Cancellation of Removal Adjustment of Status before the Immigration Court Waivers Motions to Reopen Motions to Reconsider Bond Hearings Appeals before the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA) Habeas Corpus petitions (federal court immigration detention matters) Prepare clients for hearings. Conduct legal research and draft motions, briefs, and supporting documentation. Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary information and documentation. Maintain accurate, organized case files and ensure timely submission of all court filings. Track important deadlines and maintain a proactive case calendar. Maintain professional and timely client communications throughout each case.
Requirements:
Minimum five years of experience practicing immigration law with a focus on litigation. Extensive experience representing clients before the Immigration Court (EOIR). Experience handling asylum, cancellation of removal, waivers, motions, and appeals. Strong legal research, writing, and courtroom advocacy skills. Fluency in Spanish is required; must be proficient in reading, writing, and speaking both Spanish and English. Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly explain complex legal concepts. High attention to detail and accuracy in legal filings. Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment while managing individual responsibilities.
Pay:
$110,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
