Full Job Description Overview:
Seeking a Municipal Attorney to advise local government clients on a wide range of legal matters, including governance, land use, public procurement, and Sunshine Law compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as general or special counsel to municipal clients Attend public meetings and provide real-time legal guidance Draft ordinances, resolutions, interlocal agreements, and policies Advise on ethics, public records, and open meetings laws Provide guidance on zoning, land use, and development regulations
Qualifications:
3+ years of municipal or government law experience Strong knowledge of Florida local government law (Sunshine Law, Public Records, etc.) Experience attending and advising at public meetings preferred Florida Bar admission required Excellent client advisory and communication skills
Work Expectations & Benefits:
In-office presence required 1,950 hours Health and supplemental insurance ($785 contribution) Flexible time off (based on 1,950 hours requirement) 401(k) (no current match)
Pay:
$120,000.00 - $190,000.00 per year
