Associate Attorney Davie, FL Job Details Full-time 1 day ago Benefits Health insurance 401(k) Paid time off Retirement plan Qualifications Law Doctoral degree Westlaw Writing skills Mid-level 3 years Legal motion preparation Doctor of Law (JD) Litigation Contract drafting Legal administrative experience Legal client representation experience Legal drafting Legal research Court case file organization Contracts Settlement negotiation Legal case management Bar Communication skills Full Job Description We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Associate Attorney to join our legal team, who is licensed by the Florida Bar, and has 3-5 years of experience, or State Attorneys and Public Defenders with trial experience looking to move into civil law practice, possessing the work ethic, knowledge and skills to handle diverse civil litigation matters, including the ability and confidence to handle evidentiary hearings, trials, and adversarial court appearances immediately upon hire. Experience with transactional and business law matters a plus. As an Associate Attorney, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of legal matters and gain valuable experience in various practice areas. This is a full-time position with competitive compensation and benefits, when eligible.
Duties:
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support ongoing cases and provide guidance to clients
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, contracts, and agreements
- Assist with negotiations and settlements
- Represent clients in court hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings
- Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and provide legal advice
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and documentation
- Attend meetings with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in the legal process
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Admitted to practice law in the state of Florida
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Proficient in legal drafting and writing
- Familiarity with legal administrative tasks and procedures
