We're hiring an Associate Attorney who brings both fight and heart : aggressive with the defense, compassionate with clients, and committed to a true 5-star client experience. What You'll Handle a balanced mix of pre-suit and litigation Case types include: MVA, premises liability, wrongful death, product liability, and trucking/commercial cases What Makes This Role Different Dedicated support staff: case manager, legal assistant, and litigation paralegal Mentorship from the owner (direct, ongoing, and intentional) Weekly case strategy meetings with the owner and your team Trial-minded culture: build cases for trial, conduct focus groups, and sharpen real litigation skills Systems that work: Filevine + proven workflows (no chaos, no guessing) You won't be on an island. You'll be supported, coached, and pushed to grow. What You'll Do Drive pre-suit negotiations and litigation strategy Draft demands, pleadings, motions, and discovery Take and defend depositions and prepare witnesses Attend mediations, hearings, and case conferences Communicate with clients clearly and compassionately Conduct jury focus groups to build trial strategy What We're Obsessed With Client experience Strong case value Pushing the defense Protecting families Preparation and performance Who Thrives Here You'll thrive here if you are: proactive, organized, and deadline-driven confident in conflict and not intimidated by insurance defense a strong writer and communicator compassionate with clients and relentless with the defense coachable and hungry to grow collaborative and team-oriented Bilingual Spanish is a huge plus. This Role Is NOT For You If you want slow-paced work or a light caseload you avoid conflict or struggle to push the defense you "settle to settle" instead of building value you prefer solo work over team collaboration you don't believe client communication matters Qualifications Active Florida Bar license in good standing 2+ years experience preferred (PI, civil litigation, or insurance defense) Strong writing, organization, and client-facing communication skills Filevine familiarity is a plus (we can train) Why Viles & Beckman?
