Position Specific Description Seeking a real estate transactional attorney to support FPL's corporate real estate, development and power delivery business management teams. The attorney will be responsible for handling eminent domain matters, drafting, reviewing and negotiating easements, purchase and sale agreements, leases, licenses, relocation agreements and other real estate related documents. The attorney will also assist with project due diligence, real estate closings, title and survey review and other real estate transactional job-related duties. Applicant must be a team player who relates well to clients, management and counterparties, who is self-motivated and who can thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment. Job Overview Employees in this role participate in complex legal matters and projects and must deliver timely and quality legal services to clients with minimal supervision. Job Duties & Responsibilities Supports daily operations of the corporate real estate, development and power delivery business teams Performs transactional due diligence and legal analyses as required by management or business units Ensures disclosure of potentially material legal issues to senior leadership Requires clear and concise writing, proofreading and editing for spelling and grammar Ability to prioritize effectively, work under pressure, handle multiple tasks and meet numerous competing and deadlines Thrives in a very high-paced environment Strong work ethic and team-oriented attitude Required Qualifications Juris Doctorate Licensed Florida Attorney in Good Standing
Experience:
1+ years Preferred Qualifications Real estate law and electric utility experience Job Overview Employees in this job perform a variety of routine legal assignments and projects of varying (basic to moderate) complexity and deliver timely and quality legal services to clients with close supervision.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Conducts legal research, drafts legal documents and assists more experienced attorneys in transactions
  • Provides legal advice to business units, and prepares resolutions and forms
  • Works to ensure budget compliance and avoids the need for outside counsel
  • Ensures disclosure of potentially material legal issues to senior leadership
  • Performs other job-related duties as assignedRequired Qualifications
  • Member in Good Standing of a State Bar
  • High School Grad / GED
  • Juris Doctorate
  • Bachelor's Degree
