Experienced Litigation Attorney (3-5 yrs) 1485 International Parkway, Lake Mary, FL 32746 From $130,000 a year - Full-time From $130,000 a year - Full-time Tessitore Mari Scott, PLLC seeks a driven, hard-working attorney with a minimum of 5 years experience to join our civil defense litigation practice group in Lake Mary, Florida. Our attorneys defend insurance companies, businesses, sovereign immune entities, non-profits, and individuals in a wide range of legal matters, from premises liability to personal injury, products liability, auto liability and all types of torts. A minimum of 5+ years of civil defense litigation experience, preferably in personal injury, bodily injury, general liability, and/or insurance defense litigation. Previous experience should include managing your own case load, taking and defending depositions, appearance in court, motion practice, discovery, mediation and trial experience. •Pay commensurate with experience

Responsibilities:

Take and defend depositions Draft and argue dispositive motions Attend hearings, mediations, and trials Perform legal research and provide analysis of case law Prepare pleadings and correspondence Communicate with clients, expert witnesses, and opposing counsel Provide exemplary legal counsel to clients Must be familiar with hourly billing.

Qualifications:

Must be a licensed member of the Florida Bar Excellent verbal and written communications skills Problem-solving skills Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Prior litigation experience preferred.
