We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Litigation Attorney for our client. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in First Party Property (FPP) and homeowner's insurance litigation. experience handling FPP claims, representing homeowners and insurers, and a track record of success in litigating complex property disputes. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of FPP litigation from inception to resolution, including case analysis, motion practice, discovery, depositions, trial preparation, and courtroom representation.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a caseload of homeowner FPP litigation matters, ensuring timely and effective resolution of cases. Draft, review, and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses. Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on complex issues related to property insurance and homeowner disputes. Represent clients in depositions, mediations, and court hearings, demonstrating strong advocacy skills. Provide strategic legal advice to clients, helping them navigate complex property claims. Work closely with clients, adjusters, and other stakeholders to facilitate case resolution and manage expectations. Collaborate with junior attorneys and support staff to ensure the efficient handling of cases. Stay updated on changes to Florida property law and insurance regulations.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Active membership in good standing with the Florida Bar. Minimum of 2+ years of experience in First Party Property (FPP) and homeowner litigation. Proven track record of successfully managing and litigating complex FPP cases. Strong knowledge of Florida property insurance law and homeowner claims. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to handle high-pressure situations and meet deadlines. Strong organizational and case management skills. Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience representing homeowners in FPP litigation. Trial experience is highly preferred. Familiarity with mediation. Why Apply? Competitive salary and benefits package.
