POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Client Advisor is a high-level fiduciary professional responsible for the administration of the organization's most complex and high-value relationships. This individual acts as the primary advisor for ultra-high-net-worth clients, ensuring that all fiduciary activities are in alignment with our clients' goals and priorities. This entails providing guidance around general financial topics, governing estate, trust and retirement planning documents, tax efficiencies of elections and decisions, and internal policies while maintaining, enhancing, and strengthening multi-generational client relationships.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Complex Account Management:
Administer a portfolio of complex relationships encompassing the lives of High-Net-Worth families including but not limited to Revocable and Irrevocable Trusts, Charitable Trusts (CRTs/CLTs/DAF's), Special Needs Trusts, and Estates.
Governing Document Interpretation:
Review and interpret complex legal documents (Wills, Trust Agreements, Court Orders) to guide clients and client fiduciaries as to proper administration and effective distribution of assets.
Discretionary Decisions:
Understanding client goals and priorities and guiding toward meaningfully impactful cash flow, retirement, estate, gifting, and income tax planning decisions that are holistic in scope and consistent with established objectives and sound industry principles.
Compliance & Regulatory Oversight:
Lead annual administrative reviews for assigned relationships and ensure adherence to internal policies and procedures, fiduciary standards, and AML/KYC requirements.
Strategic Business Support:
Support other firm team members in the identification of new opportunities and the establishing and onboarding of sophisticated new business, providing technical support and relationship management expertise during the prospect phase.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Education:
A bachelor's degree in business or finance is required. A JD, LLM, or MBA is highly preferred.
Professional Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of direct experience in relationship management experience within an investment advisory firm, bank, law firm, or trust company.
Certifications:
A Certified Financial Planner (CFP) or Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA) designation is strongly preferred. Successful transfer or completion of the Series 65 uniform exam is needed for the role unless otherwise exempted.
Technical Proficiency:
Demonstrate advanced knowledge of fiduciary principles, trust accounting, general income, estate and generation skipping taxation, basic post-mortem tax planning and the Microsoft Office Suite.
PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES
Expert knowledge of Florida fiduciary statutes and federal estate/gift tax laws. Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive family dynamics with diplomacy and professional objectivity. Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex financial and legal information. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment at a fast pace. Mentoring capabilities to guide junior Client Advisors and Associates.
Pay:
$90,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
