The ideal candidate will have meaningful experience advising clients in estate planning, probate administration, elder law matters, and related asset protection strategies. This role involves working directly with individuals and families to develop comprehensive estate plans, navigate probate proceedings, and provide strategic counsel on long-term care planning, guardianship, and related elder law issues. The right candidate will be client-focused, compassionate, detail-oriented, and capable of managing matters independently while contributing to the growth of the practice. Key Responsibilities Draft comprehensive estate planning documents, including wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, advance directives, and related instruments Advise clients on elder law matters including Medicaid planning, asset protection strategies, and long-term care planning Handle probate administration from initiation through closing, including formal and summary administration Represent clients in guardianship proceedings and related court matters Provide counsel on trust administration and fiduciary responsibilities Identify tax considerations related to estate and trust planning Maintain strong client relationships through clear communication and thoughtful planning guidance Work collaboratively with paralegals and administrative staff to ensure efficient case management Participate in community outreach, networking, and practice development efforts Qualifications Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school Active Florida Bar license in good standing 4-10+ years of experience in elder law, estate planning, and probate Experience handling probate and estate administration matters independently Strong drafting skills and attention to detail Courtroom experience in probate or guardianship matters preferred Excellent interpersonal and client communication skills Experience with estate planning and probate software platforms preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Medicaid planning and complex asset protection strategies Familiarity with fiduciary litigation or contested probate matters Existing referral relationships in the Melbourne / Brevard County area Ideal Candidate Compassionate and client-centered Organized and able to manage a steady caseload Comfortable advising elderly clients and families on sensitive matters Business-minded and interested in contributing to practice growth Strong written and verbal communicator
Pay:
$100,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
