The ideal candidate will attend court on a weekly basis and perform meaningful attorney review of legal documents prepared by non-attorney staff. This role is well-suited for a recent law school graduate or licensed attorney looking to build courtroom experience and develop foundational litigation skills in a fast-paced practice area. Key Responsibilities Litigation & Court Representation Attend court weekly for hearings, motions, and case events in collection matters. Represent clients in pre-judgment and post-judgment proceedings. Prepare legal arguments, case strategies, and handle court-required filings. Case Management & Legal Review Perform detailed attorney review of all pleadings and legal materials drafted by paralegals and support staff. Ensure accuracy, compliance with law, and firm quality standards. Provide clear guidance and feedback to team members when revisions are needed. Client & Stakeholder Communication Communicate with clients regarding case status, strategy, and outcomes. Engage professionally with opposing counsel, court staff, and internal departments. Administrative & Compliance Manage a high-volume caseload with attention to timelines and court rules. Maintain detailed documentation in the firm's case management systems. Follow internal procedures and ethical requirements for collections practice. Qualifications Required Member of the Florida Bar , in good standing (or pending admission). Legal experience , including internships or clerkships. Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills. Highly organized and able to handle a large volume of cases. Willingness to learn and build experience in litigation. Preferred Coursework or internship experience in civil litigation, collections, creditor rights, or related areas.
Pay:
$80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
