Exempt Job summary Kaye Bender Rembaum is a comprehensive commercial law firm committed to representing community associations across Florida. A Junior Attorney operates under the guidance of senior attorneys to deliver legal services to local homeowners' associations, condominium associations, and housing cooperatives. Their duties encompass researching legal precedents, drafting governing documents, managing dispute negotiations, and ensuring compliance with local codes.
Key Responsibilities:
Legal Research & Drafting:
Analyzing state and local laws, creating and modifying bylaws, declarations, contracts, and legal opinions.
Client Advisor:
Supporting community association boards with daily governance, compliance, and procedural matters.
Dispute Resolution & Litigation:
Managing covenant enforcement issues, assessment collections, and representing clients in mediations, arbitrations, and local court cases.
Meeting Attendance:
Participating in board and committee meetings to offer on-site legal advice for association leadership.
Qualifications Education:
Juris Doctor from an accredited law institution.
Licensing:
Active membership and good standing with the Florida State Bar Association.
Experience:
Minimum of 1 year in community association law. Entry-level candidates are welcome.
Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication, along with negotiation abilities. Self-motivated, capable of working independently or collaboratively within a team. Proficient in addressing audiences regarding clients' inquiries or concerns.
