This is an exciting opportunity for an attorney with at least 5 years of experience who is eager to enhance their trial law skills, particularly in personal injury cases. As an Associate Attorney, you will have the chance to work closely with our most experienced litigators for ongoing mentorship in all aspects of personal injury litigation, from case preparation to trial. The ideal candidate will be passionate about advocating for injured clients and eager to expand their litigation experience. This role will provide direct, hands-on exposure to complex cases and the opportunity to develop strong trial skills under the guidance of an experienced trial lawyer.
Key Responsibilities:
Review cases transitioning from our Pre-Litigation team and develop a case strategy for success. Handle some pre-litigation demand matters. Manage (with guidance) all aspects of trial preparation, including discovery, depositions, and expert witness coordination. Attend hearings, depositions, and court appearances. Work collaboratively with other attorneys and support staff to ensure the highest quality legal services are provided to clients. Manage case files, maintain client communication, and uphold the firm's commitment to excellent client service. Participate in firm-wide training and continuing education opportunities to further develop trial skills. A minimum of 5 years of experience in personal injury law or civil litigation. Strong desire to develop trial skills and gain hands-on experience in a litigation-focused role. Excellent communication, research, and writing skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Admission to practice law in Texas is required.
