401(k) Bonus based on performance Company parties Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Profit sharing Vision insurance Rosenthal, Levy, Simon & Sosa Injury Attorneys is seeking an experienced and compassionate Settlement Coordinator to join our Personal Injury Department. This position plays a critical role in guiding cases through the settlement process and requires daily interaction with attorneys, clients, medical providers, insurance carriers, and support staff in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Responsibilities Manage all aspects of the settlement phase for assigned personal injury cases. Negotiate lien and balance reductions with medical providers, hospitals, Medicare, Medicaid, and other lienholders. Coordinate with insurance adjusters, defense counsel, and clients to facilitate the execution of settlement and release documents. Verify, file, and actively pursue Medicare, Medicaid, health insurance, and ERISA claims through resolution. Review and maintain accurate Medicare, Medicaid, and ERISA lien information and chronologies. Prepare and generate settlement-related documentation and correspondence. Collaborate with the Accounting Department to ensure settlement funds are properly deposited, disbursed, and accounted for, including payments to clients, lienholders, and the firm. Communicate professionally with clients, medical providers, insurance adjusters, and other parties involved in the settlement process. Perform administrative and clerical duties as needed, including scheduling appointments, responding to correspondence, and handling incoming mail.
Qualifications Required:
Personal injury law experience. Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong work ethic and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Compassion and empathy for injured clients. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred:
Experience with Filevine case management software. Bilingual in English and Spanish. Experience handling Medicare, Medicaid, ERISA, and medical lien resolution.
