Job Description
Description We are looking for an Associate to join a litigation practice in Buckhead/Atlanta. This role is best suited for a licensed attorney with several years of hands-on civil litigation experience who is comfortable working fully on site and contributing immediately to active matters. The position offers the opportunity to handle substantive legal work, support case strategy, and collaborate closely with the legal team in a fast-paced office environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare initial pleadings, including complaints, with close attention to factual detail, legal sufficiency, and filing requirements.
- Examine discovery materials, identify key issues, and help develop responses and follow-up strategies for ongoing litigation matters.
- Draft motions and supporting documents that reflect sound legal analysis and align with overall case objectives.
- Assist in deposition preparation by organizing case materials, outlining lines of questioning, and reviewing relevant evidence.
- Conduct legal research on procedural and substantive issues to support litigation strategy and case development.
- Contribute to federal and government-related litigation matters by analyzing applicable rules, precedent, and case-specific considerations.
- Work directly with attorneys and internal stakeholders in a fully in-office setting to move matters forward efficiently and accurately. Requirements
- Active license to practice in Georgia.
- 3-5 years of attorney experience with a strong focus on civil litigation.
- Demonstrated ability to draft motions, pleadings, and other litigation documents independently.
- Practical experience supporting or conducting depositions.
- Background handling matters involving government entities or federal litigation.
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Availability to begin within the next month.
- Willingness to work on site on a permanent basis in Atlanta, Georgia.
