We're Hiring:
Mid•to Senior-Level Intellectual Property Associate Attorney•Atlanta, GA (needs to be in Atlanta greater metro) Salary will be based on the candidate's experience and other job-related factors, in accordance with applicable law. Are you a sharp legal mind with a passion for innovation and a background in computer science or electrical engineering? Our nationally recognized Intellectual Property team is growing—and we're looking for a driven Intellectual Property Associate (Mid•to Senior-Level) to join us in Atlanta, GA or any of our firm offices. What You'll Do:
✔ Interview inventors and prepare technically sound, strategic patent applications ✔ Handle all aspects of U.S. and foreign patent prosecution , including ex parte appeals ✔ Conduct validity, infringement, and freedom-to-operate studies , with supporting opinion letters ✔ Provide legal guidance on patent, trademark, copyright , and basic licensing issues ✔ Gain experience in IP licensing and litigation ✔ Work closely with partners, associates, and staff to ensure seamless case management ✔ Stay ahead of IP trends and contribute to our thought leadership
What We're Looking For:
🔹 5+ years of hands-on patent prosecution experience 🔹 JD from an accredited law school 🔹 Technical degree (BS/MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar preferred) 🔹 Registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office 🔹 Exceptional legal writing and analytical skills 🔹 Deep understanding of IP law —bonus if you bring litigation experience too Salary commensurate with candidate experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
