Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dependable and professional Supervised Visitation Monitor with a background in social work, child welfare, or related family services fields. Candidates with a BSW or MSW are strongly preferred. This position plays a vital role in supporting safe, structured, and child-focused visitation services for families involved in court-ordered or high-conflict custody situations. The ideal candidate will have experience working within child welfare systems, possess strong observational and documentation skills, maintain clear professional boundaries, and demonstrate the ability to remain calm and neutral in emotionally charged environments. Candidates must be comfortable supervising visits in both in-home and community-based settings while prioritizing child safety and adherence to court orders. Duties & Responsibilities Monitor and supervise parent-child visits to ensure child safety and compliance with court-ordered guidelines Maintain a neutral and professional role during all interactions with families Observe and document parent-child interactions using objective, behavior-based reporting Accurately complete visitation notes, incident reports, and written summaries suitable for court or attorney review Manage and de-escalate conflict that may arise during visits while maintaining professionalism and composure Enforce visitation rules, boundaries, and safety procedures consistently Communicate professionally with parents, attorneys, guardians ad litem, DFCS personnel, and other involved professionals Conduct visits in both private homes and public/community settings Respond appropriately to safety concerns, emergencies, or crisis situations Maintain confidentiality and professional ethics at all times Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or related field preferred Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in child welfare, family services, foster care, DFCS, or related settings Experience working with high-conflict family dynamics strongly preferred Strong professional boundaries and ability to remain neutral in emotionally charged situations Excellent written documentation and observational skills Comfortable working independently in community and in-home environments Ability to manage conflict and respond appropriately to crisis situations Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout Hall and Gwinnett Counties Ability to pass a criminal background check Evening and weekend availability required Preferred Qualifications Previous supervised visitation or parenting time monitoring experience Familiarity with family court processes and court-ordered visitation services Trauma-informed care experience Experience preparing documentation for legal or child welfare purposes
Pay:
$30.00 - $40.00 per hour
