Job Description

Job Summary The Carter Firm PC is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join our legal team. The Associate Attorney will be instrumental in providing litigation support, primarily in criminal law. The Attorney will conduct research, drafting legal documents, and assisting with client consultations, as well as direct Trial responsibility. This position is ideal for a motivated legal professional eager to develop trial skills and build a book of business. Duties Conduct in-depth legal research using LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case preparation and legal analysis. Draft and review legal documents including pleadings, contracts, memoranda, and correspondence with precision and clarity. Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, negotiations, and client meetings by organizing case files and evidence. Participate in negotiations on behalf of clients to achieve favorable outcomes while maintaining professionalism. Collaborate with the legal team on litigation strategies by analyzing case facts and preparing discovery requests or responses. Travel and make court appearances in Hall, White, Banks, Jackson, Barrow, Dawson, Lumpkin, Habersham, Stephens, Union, and Towns counties. Travel is a necessary part of job duties and critical to success. Skills Strong knowledge of criminal and civil law. Excellent research skills utilizing LexisNexis and Westlaw. Exceptional writing skills for drafting clear legal documents such as pleadings, contracts, memoranda, and correspondence. Effective negotiation skills to advocate for clients' interests confidently while maintaining professionalism.
Pay:
$65,000.00
