Job Description

Are you a skilled Workers' Compensation Attorney with a proven record of success defending companies? Our client is currently seeking an experienced attorney to join their team. With a dedicated support staff and a focus on promoting a positive work environment, this position offers the opportunity for professional growth while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
Responsibilities:
  • Defend client companies in workers compensation cases.
  • Provide legal counsel and representation throughout all stages of litigation.
  • Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Collaborate with support staff, medical professionals, and experts to build strong cases.
  • Attend hearings, depositions, and mediations as needed.
  • Negotiate settlements and represent clients in court when necessary.
  • Stay up-to-date with legal trends, regulations, and case law related to workers' compensation.
Requirements:
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing with the State Bar.
  • 2-5 years of experience specifically focused on defending companies in workers' compensation cases, general liability a plus.
  • Strong understanding of workers compensation laws and regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage a high-volume caseload with attention to detail.
  • Effective negotiation, advocacy, and courtroom presentation skills.
