Opportunity:
A highly respected, full-service regional law firm is seeking a seasoned Labor & Employment Attorney to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior-level attorney with a portable book of business to expand their practice within a collaborative, well-resourced platform. Ideal for a management-side employment lawyer who wants meaningful client responsibility, strategic impact, and practice growth support.
Key Responsibilities:
Counsel employers on federal, state, and local employment law compliance, including wage & hour, discrimination, ADA, FMLA, workplace safety, and employee relations. Represent clients in employment litigation, including wrongful termination, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and related disputes. Handle administrative matters before the EEOC, DOL, and other regulatory agencies. Draft and update employee handbooks, employment agreements, HR policies, and compliance programs. Conduct workplace investigations and advise on disciplinary actions, complaints, and risk mitigation. Provide labor relations counseling, including union issues and collective bargaining guidance. Support employment issues in corporate transactions. Maintain and expand client relationships through proactive, strategic business development.
Qualifications:
J.D. from an accredited law school. Active Bar admission in Florida or Georgia (or ability to become admitted). Minimum 6+ years of Labor & Employment law experience. Demonstrated experience handling employment counseling and litigation matters. Portable book of business required. Strong written advocacy, analytical, and client communication skills. Proven ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with firm leadership and colleagues.
