Job Description

Iowa State Bank is celebrating 85 years as a locally owned community bank in Des Moines, Iowa. We would like to welcome YOU to the Iowa State Bank family! We are currently seeking a Trust Officer at our Hickman location in Urbandale, Iowa. The Trust Officer is responsible for the administration of personal trust accounts with a focus on meeting the needs of current account holders and on developing new Trust business and referrals to the Bank. Candidates that express an interest in this invitation must have a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Trust and probate proceedings, financial management and understanding of fiduciary tax returns. Candidates with a law degree and at least 3 years of experience will also be considered. Candidates must have thorough knowledge of Trust Department administration and the ability to administer accounts in a profitable way; ability to communicate well, maintain complex records and prepare complete and timely reports; excellent customer relations skills and ability to interact well with professionals, such as attorneys, CPAs, and financial advisors; strong analytical and problem solving skills; willingness to attend workshops and seminars and other applicable continuing education to keep current on all new legislation and regulations regarding Trust administration; and valid driver's license in order to travel between offices, make customer and prospect calls, and attend meetings and trainings outside the home office.
