Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Criminal Defense Associate Attorney to join our vibrant legal team. In this role, you will be instrumental in defending clients facing criminal charges, providing expert legal counsel, and advocating passionately in court. Your expertise will help ensure justice is served while guiding clients through complex legal processes. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering exceptional legal representation across a variety of criminal defense matters. Duties Conduct thorough legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research tools to support case strategies. Draft and review legal documents including motions, pleadings, and client correspondence with precision and clarity. Represent clients in court hearings, arraignments, bail hearings, and trials, advocating effectively on their behalf. Negotiate plea agreements and settlement terms with prosecutors to achieve favorable outcomes for clients. Investigate case facts by interviewing clients, witnesses, and law enforcement officials; gather evidence to build strong defenses. Manage all aspects of case preparation, including discovery review, evidence analysis, and compliance with procedural rules. Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases involving estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, family law, securities law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, landlord-tenant law, and litigation matters. Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school; admission to the state bar is required. Demonstrated experience or strong interest in criminal defense work; prior internships or clerkships are a plus. Proficiency in legal research platforms such as Westlaw and LexisNexis; excellent writing skills for drafting legal documents. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to advocate effectively for clients' rights. Knowledge of various areas of law including estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, family law, securities law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, landlord-tenant law, and litigation procedures. Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple cases simultaneously. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining a proactive approach to case management. Pay:
$76,109.05 - $91,658.22 per year
