Full-Time Residential Real Estate Attorney DKMO Law is a long-established, 16-attorney general practice law firm located in downtown Arlington Heights. Our residential real estate group is a high-volume practice that is well regarded in the real estate community, and we are seeking a full-time Residential Real Estate Attorney to help serve our growing client base. We are looking for an attorney who is comfortable managing files from contract through closing, communicating with clients and agents, and helping maintain the high level of service our real estate clients expect. The ideal candidate will have experience handling residential real estate transactions, excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and the ability to manage multiple files and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities include:
Reviewing and negotiating residential real estate contracts Communicating with clients, real estate agents, lenders, title companies, and opposing counsel Creating and maintaining relationships with referral sources Drafting and reviewing attorney review letters, inspection letters, riders, amendments, and closing documents Managing transaction deadlines and ensuring files move efficiently toward closing Reviewing title commitments, surveys, municipal requirements, loan documents, and closing figures Attending closings Working closely with paralegals, assistants, and other attorneys within the firm Providing practical guidance to clients throughout the purchase or sale process
Qualifications:
Illinois law license in good standing Residential real estate transaction experience preferred Strong attention to detail and ability to manage a high-volume caseload Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work both independently and collaboratively Professional, client-focused approach Familiarity with Chicago-area residential real estate practice is a plus DKMO offers a collegial work environment, an established client base, and the opportunity to join a respected and growing real estate practice.
