Job Description:

Our client is a prominent national plaintiff's firm adding an experienced Associate to their Chicago team. This role is ideal for a passionate advocate who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is confident in the courtroom, and is committed to delivering top-tier legal representation for our personal injury clients. You will handle a full litigation caseload with the support of a dedicated team.

Key Responsibilities:

Handle and manage personal injury files from filing through trial Work up litigation files from filing the lawsuit through discovery, depositions, and trial Willingness and ability to regularly interact with clients, adjusters, staff, and other lawyers Successfully lead a litigation team of 5+ people Litigate cases from beginning to end Demonstrate strong work ethic and attention to detail Ability to work cohesively in a team environment Experience supervising and managing other team members Pre-litigation case management and negotiation experience Experience handling cases involving commercial motor vehicles Willingness to expand knowledge of trucking litigation and obtain board certification in truck accident law Willing to work independently while remaining accountable

Qualifications:

Graduate of an ABA-accredited law school Current member in good standing with the Illinois Bar Minimum of 3 years of personal injury litigation experience Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw and LexisNexis Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide effective solutions Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Trial experience preferred Commercial case experience a plus Experience litigating trucking and other commercial motor vehicle cases a plus.
