  • $77,307.65 to $85,067.39 annually Assistant State's Attorney III
  • $82,719.
27 to $91,022.10 annually

Bloomington, IL Are you ready to make a real impact in your legal career? The McLean County State's Attorney's Office is seeking a motivated and dedicated prosecutor to join our team. We're looking for someone with 2-7 years of prosecutorial experience, but we also welcome applications from: Licensed attorneys with relevant legal experience Recent law school grads (especially those awaiting bar results) 3Ls interested in starting their prosecutorial careers early Why McLean County? Here, you'll gain valuable courtroom experience, contribute to meaningful cases, and work alongside a supportive and experienced legal team. We've had great success onboarding 3Ls and recent grads, helping them transition smoothly into public service careers.
Position Highlights:
Prosecute criminal, juvenile, traffic, and civil cases Work independently with strong support from leadership Engage in legal research, trial prep, and courtroom litigation Collaborate with law enforcement, court officials, and county departments Gain hands-on experience with a wide variety of cases
What You'll Need:
Law degree from an accredited institution Licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois and before the Illinois Supreme Court (or eligibility soon after graduation) Strong communication, research, and analytical skills A passion for public service and justice
