This is a leadership opportunity for a highly organized, business-minded Illinois attorney who thrives at the intersection of law, operations, personnel management, and client service. About the Role The Executive Director will work directly with firm ownership and senior attorneys to manage the day-to-day operations of the practice while helping execute the firm's long-term strategic vision. The ideal candidate is an experienced legal professional with strong leadership ability, operational sophistication, and the judgment necessary to help manage a high-performing litigation environment. This position requires both legal knowledge and executive-level management capability. Responsibilities Oversee daily law firm operations, administration, and workflow management Supervise attorneys, support staff, intake personnel, and administrative departments Assist with litigation management, case flow, and compliance oversight Develop and implement operational policies and procedures Monitor financial performance, budgeting, productivity, and operational efficiency Support recruiting, onboarding, training, and staff development initiatives Collaborate with firm leadership on growth strategy, business development, and expansion Maintain exceptional standards of client service and professional conduct Ensure compliance with Illinois legal ethics requirements and applicable regulations Serve as a key liaison between ownership, legal teams, and operational departments Qualifications Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school Active license to practice law in Illinois required Minimum 5+ years of litigation experience preferred Prior law firm management or executive leadership experience strongly preferred Exceptional organizational, communication, and leadership skills Strong understanding of litigation procedures, case management systems, and law firm operations Proven ability to manage teams in a high-volume, fast-paced environment Business-minded with strong problem-solving and decision-making ability Compensation & Benefits Highly competitive compensation package based on experience Performance incentives and bonus opportunities Health insurance and benefits package Paid time off and holidays Professional development opportunities Long-term leadership growth potential within the organization Qualified candidates should submit a resume, cover letter, and salary expectations for confidential consideration.
