Job Description

Heavner, Beyers & Mihlar, LLC, a creditor rights and debt collection law firm, is seeking a part-time attorney to cover court calls in Chicago on Fridays and Saturdays.
POSITION OVERVIEW
We are looking for a licensed Illinois attorney to appear on behalf of our client in all matters related to:
  • Municipal utility collection proceedings
  • Administrative fine hearings
  • Any and all related municipal collection matters The selected attorney will work closely with our Operations Manager to coordinate appearances, case preparation, and reporting.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Active Illinois law license in good standing
  • Experience in municipal law, collections, debt recovery, or administrative hearings preferred
  • Familiarity with Municipal Court is a plus
  • Strong courtroom presence and ability to work independently
  • Reliable availability on Fridays and Saturdays
COMPENSATION
Competitive; commensurate with experience. Please include rate expectations with your inquiry.
