Our practice represents businesses, business owners, and professionals in a wide range of commercial disputes, including contract claims, partnership and shareholder disputes, business torts, fiduciary duty matters, and other complex business litigation. We provide our attorneys with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience, develop strong client relationships, and play an active role in case strategy and litigation management. Responsibilities Manage commercial litigation matters from inception through resolution. Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery-related documents. Conduct legal research and analyze complex legal issues. Develop case strategy and provide recommendations to clients and senior attorneys. Take and defend depositions. Attend court appearances, hearings, mediations, and arbitrations. Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and other parties involved in litigation. Assist with trial preparation and trial proceedings. Collaborate with attorneys across the firm on complex business disputes and litigation strategy. Qualifications J.D. from an accredited law school. Active Illinois Bar license in good standing. Minimum of 2 years of commercial, business, or civil litigation experience. Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills. Experience with discovery, motion practice, and court appearances. Ability to manage multiple matters while working independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication, organizational, and client service skills. Desire to take on increasing responsibility and contribute to a collaborative litigation practice.
