Job Description

We are looking for an experienced commercial real estate attorney to manage a broad range of transactional matters. The ideal candidate is articulate, personable, a strong negotiator, and thrives in a collaborative, client-facing role. You will play a central role in high-value transactions for a diverse client base including developers, owners, tenants, investors, and financial institutions. Key Responsibilities Draft and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, leases, and related transactional documents for all asset classes Oversee commercial acquisitions and dispositions, including due diligence, title and survey review Manage leasing matters for landlords and tenants, including retail, office, and industrial Handle zoning, land use, and entitlement work for development projects Close real estate financing transactions and prepare/review loan documentation Advise clients on construction, development, and property management issues Provide support for retail development and site planning for developers Collaborate with colleagues across practice areas including corporate and tax Qualifications 8+ years of experience in commercial real estate law Proven background in acquisitions, leasing, zoning/entitlements, construction, and finance Licensed to practice law in Illinois (or ability to become licensed promptly) Excellent drafting and negotiation skills Strong interpersonal communication and client relationship abilities Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple transactions simultaneously
