Opportunity:
A well-regarded firm in Chicago is seeking a talented Commercial Litigation Associate with 2-4 years of experience to join its growing practice. This is a great opportunity for an ambitious attorney who wants to work on high-stakes, complex disputes while receiving hands-on mentorship and professional development.Key Responsibilities:
Handle a broad range of commercial litigation matters, including contract disputes, business torts, shareholder issues, and other complex civil cases. Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests/responses with precision and efficiency. Conduct legal research and provide strategic analysis to support litigation strategy. Take and defend depositions, argue motions, and manage hearings. Collaborate with senior attorneys in preparing for mediation, arbitration, and trial. Communicate effectively with clients, keeping them informed and engaged throughout the litigation process.Qualifications:
J.D. from an accredited law school. Active bar membership in the District of Columbia (or eligibility to waive in). 2-4 years of commercial litigation experience at a law firm. Strong legal writing and research skills, with meticulous attention to detail. Experience with depositions, hearings, or trial preparation strongly preferred. Ability to manage multiple matters independently while working in a collaborative team environment.What's Offered:
