Litigation Attorney

We are seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to join our growing Chicago-area practice. Our firm represents businesses, financial institutions, commercial entities, and individuals across a broad range of disputes. We are looking for a strong litigator who is comfortable handling matters independently while also working closely with a team of experienced attorneys. The ideal candidate will have approximately 4+ years of litigation experience and strong skills in case management, written advocacy, and client communication. We are open to candidates from a variety of civil litigation backgrounds and are intentionally keeping the practice scope broad in order to attract talented attorneys with transferable litigation experience.

Responsibilities may include:

Managing litigation matters from inception through resolution Drafting motions, pleadings, and discovery Taking and defending depositions Attending court appearances, mediations, and arbitrations Conducting legal research and preparing case strategy Communicating directly with clients and opposing counsel Assisting with trial preparation and hearings The @types of matters handled by the firm may include: Commercial and business disputes Contract litigation Construction-related disputes Employment and labor matters Real estate and property disputes General civil litigation matters Qualified candidates should possess: 5+ years of civil litigation experience Strong writing, analytical, and advocacy skills Experience handling cases with relative independence Ability to manage deadlines and multiple matters effectively Illinois Bar admission in good standing Federal court experience is a plus, but not required
