Job Description

Job DescriptionJob Description Anthony J. Madonia & Associates, Ltd. is seeking a Senior Certified Public Accountant to join our established and respected practice. This full-time, on-site position will support the firm's attorneys and clients in matters involving estate planning, probate, trust administration, and tax-related strategies. The ideal candidate is a seasoned CPA with a minimum of 5 years of experience, comfortable working directly with clients and leading internal accounting support, while collaborating with attorneys on complex financial and planning matters. This individual will play a key role in both client service and internal team oversight.
Compensation:
$125,000 - $150,000 yearly
Responsibilities:
Provide accounting and tax guidance related to estate planning, probate, and trust administration matters Prepare and review fiduciary income tax returns, estate tax returns, and individual tax filings Assist with trust and estate administration, including tracking assets, distributions, and reporting Support attorneys and clients with financial analysis and planning strategies Advise on tax implications related to wealth transfer, inheritance, and long-term planning Collaborate with attorneys to develop comprehensive planning strategies for clients Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with applicable regulations Communicate clearly with clients, beneficiaries, and other professionals Oversee, mentor, and provide guidance to junior CPAs and accounting staff Review work product for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
Qualifications:
Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license in Illinois, or ability to obtain licensure in Illinois Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax, accounting, or financial planning Experience working with estates, trusts, or high-net-worth clients strongly preferred Proven ability to oversee, mentor, and manage other CPAs or accounting staff Strong understanding of tax regulations, fiduciary accounting, and financial reporting Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Demonstrated leadership and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Excellent communication and client service skills About Company Anthony J.
