some of your typical work assignments may include: Responsible for Legal issues reled to Intelligence oversight and operions law as it reles to the use of IT. Assists the Chief, Civil and Fiscal Law, in carrying out responsibilities pertaining to civil law. Primary advisor on land transportion issues. Manages the command ethics program and serves as a primary ethics counselor on standards of conduct issues. Assists in developing office procedures to conduct the work of the office, including mters reled to office funds, office resources, office personnel, and office work products. Exercises full authority and responsibility as the principle source for Informion Law advice, advocacy and litigion support to enable the command to implement stutory duties as single manager for DOD common user transportion, as the Distribution Process Owner (DPO), and other delegions of authority and responsibility from DOD, JCS, or Congress. Provides potentially precedent-setting legal advice on extremely difficult and complex legal issues in the areas of USTRANSCOM's management and use of informion technology (IT); electronic commerce policies; electronic ethical requirements; domestic and internional electronic business (E-BIZ); intellectual property (including government and commercial software licenses, trademarks, copyrights, and other internet intangibles), informion and security; informion confidentiality to include FOIA, Electronic FOIA, HIPAA, Privacy Act, and electronic discovery programs; reengineered travel with automed processes; management/improvement of informion resource management; and problems associed with use of the World Wide Web and the government's use of social networking sites (e.g., face book, twitter, YouTube, etc.).
