Job Description
Our client is seeking an experienced Labor & Employment Associate Attorney to join its growing practice in Indiana. This role offers the opportunity to represent and advise employers across a broad range of labor and employment matters, including litigation, administrative proceedings, workplace investigations, and day-to-day compliance counseling. The ideal candidate will bring strong litigation skills, practical business judgment, and the ability to partner closely with clients to manage risk and resolve complex employment issues. Key Responsibilities Defend employers in employment-related litigation and administrative proceedings involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour disputes, wrongful termination, and related claims. Advise employers on compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including matters related to hiring, discipline, leave, accommodations, and termination. Conduct and advise on workplace investigations and prepare investigative findings and recommendations. Draft, review, and revise employment-related documents, including employee handbooks, workplace policies, employment agreements, and separation agreements. Represent clients before courts and administrative agencies, including the EEOC, DOL, and state labor agencies. Provide practical, business-focused legal counsel to employers across a variety of industries. Manage multiple matters simultaneously while maintaining a high level of client service and responsiveness. Meet an annual billable hour requirement of 1,500 hours. Required Qualifications Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school. Licensed and in good standing to practice law in the state of Indiana. 4+ years of labor and employment law experience. Strong litigation, legal writing, research, and analytical skills. Experience handling employment-related disputes through various stages of litigation and administrative proceedings. Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and maintain strong client relationships. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
