Job Description

Responsibilities:
  • Represent clients in all aspects of immigration cases
  • Conduct legal research using Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis to support case preparation
  • Draft legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, and correspondence
  • Prepare and organize case files for court hearings and trials
  • Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and provide updates on case progress
  • Schedule appointments, hearings, and depositions
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date calendars for attorneys
  • Assist with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and witness lists
Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years experience with family law.
  • Strong knowledge of legal administrative procedures and practices
  • Proficient in legal drafting and research techniques
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Skills:
  • Proficient in using Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis for legal research
  • Ability to litigate cases from start to finish, including drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, and attending court hearings
  • Strong research skills to gather relevant information for case preparation
  • Negotiation skills to assist attorneys in reaching settlements on behalf of clients
  • Excellent legal administrative skills, including document management and file organization
