Assistant Kenton County Attorney - Child Support

Job Summary The Kenton County Attorney's Office is currently seeking candidates for an open Assistant County Attorney position in its Child Support Division. This full-time position will include the prosecution of hearings, dockets, and trials at both civil and criminal levels. Attorneys are responsible for managing an assigned caseload, including preparing and conducting dockets, drafting and reviewing motions and pleadings, as well as handling any appellate matters. Communication with all parties to these actions is necessary in the prosecution of the cases. Applicants should be licensed in good standing in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Salary is dependent upon the Kentucky Prosecutorial Advisory Council's pay scale. Requirements Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school; admission to the state bar is required Proven experience or familiarity with family law, particularly child support issues Strong research skills and excellent writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively and advocate persuasively in court or administrative settings Ability to work collaboratively within a team while managing multiple priorities efficiently.
