POSITION OVERVIEW

The ideal candidate will have strong commercial litigation experience, excellent advocacy and writing skills, and the ability to independently manage matters while collaborating in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Handle a broad range of commercial litigation matters from inception through resolution Manage all phases of litigation, including pleadings, motion practice, discovery, depositions, hearings, and trial preparation Draft motions, briefs, discovery requests and responses, and other litigation-related filings Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategies in complex commercial disputes Regularly communicate with clients regarding case developments, strategy, and status updates Attend court appearances, depositions, mediations, and other litigation proceedings Assist with electronic discovery management and document review utilizing litigation support platforms, including Relativity or similar systems Collaborate closely with partners and litigation teams on case strategy and client service initiatives Maintain strong client relationships and contribute to business development and referral efforts

QUALIFICATIONS

Juris Doctor from an accredited law school Licensed and in good standing with the Louisiana State Bar Minimum of 3 years of commercial litigation experience Strong experience with depositions, motion practice, discovery, and court appearances Experience using electronic discovery platforms such as Relativity preferred Excellent research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills Strong academic credentials and professional references preferred Ability to independently manage a litigation caseload from beginning to end Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment Strong client communication and relationship-building skills
