Job Description

Full-time Description With over 240 attorneys and eight office locations in Louisiana and Texas, Kean Miller serves as legal counsel to the people and industries that drive the energy-belt economy. From our offices in Baton Rouge, New Orleans, Lake Charles, Lafayette, Shreveport, Houston, and The Woodlands, Fortune 500 companies, national businesses, and local companies rely on Kean Miller for efficient legal services and practical advice, always provided in a cost-efficient manner. In the courtroom and the boardroom, Kean Miller attorneys create unique solutions, pragmatic strategies, and unparalleled value that allow our clients to perform at the highest level. Kean Miller is seeking an experienced Commercial Litigation Attorney in our Baton Rouge office. Qualified candidates will possess minimum three (3) years' commercial litigation experience. Experience in taking depositions, writing motions, and responding to discovery are highly desired. Our associates work hand in hand with partners on all phases of litigation, case reporting, electronic discovery, and depositions, through trial preparation. Candidates should have excellent academic credentials, strong research, writing, communication, and advocacy skills. Candidates must demonstrate the ability and the desire to interact directly with Kean Miller's clients and to further develop client and referral relationships. Candidates should be able to independently manage a caseload from beginning to end, regularly handle court appearances and depositions, have experience with electronic discovery platforms such as Relativity, take the lead with client communication, and provide meaningful updates. The successful candidate should have a track record of high achievement in law school, the desire to work in a fast-paced challenging environment and the ability to work as part of a team. This position is based in our Baton Rouge office, and all candidates must be in good standing with the Louisiana State Bar.
