Personal Injury Attorney SWA Law Firm Lafayette, LA Job Details Full-time $85,000 - $120,000 a year 1 day ago Benefits 401(k) Paid time off Qualifications Interpersonal skills Writing skills Personal injury law Medical records Legal research Full Job Description We are a Lafayette boutique law firm specializing in plaintiff's medical malpractice litigation that also handles trucking, auto crashes, and other professional liability matters. We are seeking an attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate will have some exposure to plaintiff's personal injury litigation and maturity to represent clients represented by or seeking representation with our firm who are reaching out in catastrophic circumstances. Must be a team player, have a strong desire to help and advocate for catastrophically injured persons, able to work with minimal supervision, but also able to work with oversight. Must understand timeliness requirements and appropriately respond. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must have strong ethical and professional standards and understand discretion.
Responsibilities include:
Meetings and communications with clients; Review, investigate, and build case; Review and handle medical records; Drafting Pleadings; Legal research and writing Converse with clients, expert witnesses, supporting witnesses, adjusters, and medical providers; Maintain effective communication with clients, adjusters, medical providers, opposing counsel, the court, and internal team members to efficiently and effectively resolve cases; Draft settlement demands; Review of medical records; Serve as legal counsel on clients' behalf at hearings, mediations, trials, and depositions; Multi-task. We handle numerous assignments at one time and be able to determine priority.
Pay:
$85,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
