Associate Attorney

Overview Our firm is looking for a civil litigation attorney. We are primarily a debt collection law firm. Duties and responsibilities include representing clients in court proceedings and negotiations, conducting legal research, drafting and reviewing legal documents including pleadings, motions, and contracts. Responsibilities Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies and legal opinions. Draft and review legal documents including contracts, pleadings, briefs, and memoranda with precision and clarity. Assist in preparing for trials, hearings, and negotiations by organizing case files and evidence. Support attorneys in managing client communications and maintaining strong client relationships. Participate in negotiations on behalf of clients to achieve favorable outcomes. Maintain meticulous records of case progress, correspondence, and research activities within the law office management system. Experience Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with active bar admission in Louisiana. 1 to 3 years experience in legal practice; strong research and writing skills are essential. Familiarity with legal research platforms such as Westlaw and LexisNexis. Demonstrated ability to handle multiple cases efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a focus on clear legal drafting. Experience in practicing in civil litigation.

Pay:

$70,000.00 per year
