Job Description
A well-established professional services firm with a growing valuation and litigation support practice is seeking a Senior Manager to join its Boston office. This is a client-facing role for an experienced valuation professional who enjoys leading complex engagements, mentoring teams, and acting as a trusted advisor to attorneys, business owners, and senior executives.
The successful candidate will lead business valuation engagements for a wide range of purposes, including shareholder disputes, litigation, transaction support, estate and gift planning, and strategic advisory assignments. You will take ownership of engagements from scoping through delivery, review and sign off on reports, and play a key role in developing client relationships and repeat business. There is a clear expectation to contribute to practice growth while maintaining a high standard of technical excellence.
This role is well suited to someone who enjoys operating at a senior level without the bureaucracy of a large firm, where your input is visible and valued. You'll work closely with partners, have influence over strategy and execution, and be encouraged to shape the future direction of the valuation practice.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading and reviewing complex business valuation engagements across multiple industriesServing as a primary client contact and building long-term relationshipsManaging and mentoring managers and associatesPreparing and reviewing valuation reports and expert-related deliverablesSupporting business development efforts and identifying new opportunitiesIdeal background:8-12+ years of experience in business valuation, ideally within a public accounting or advisory firmStrong experience with litigation-driven and complex valuation assignmentsCPA, CFA, ASA, or ABV preferredProven ability to manage teams and interact confidently with sophisticated clientsThe firm offers a collaborative culture, competitive compensation, and a clear path for continued progression at the senior leadership level.
