- Ongoing training, career advancement programs, tuition reimbursement, and leadership development The Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (MSPCC), a division of Eliot, is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Family Partner to join our team.
Responsibilities:
Provide community-based support and education to parents/caregivers of children with special needs and/or behavioral health needs. Work with the Early Childhood Mental Health Consultation(ECMHC) staff, EEC program leadership and educators and families in developing measurable Family Partner goals in the Individualized Service Delivery Plan. Assist parents/caregivers in meeting the needs of the child through educating, supporting, coaching, modeling and guiding. Teach parents/caregivers how to connect to community resources and communicate with providers advocating for services and resources to meet a child's needs. Assisting the team with developing measurable Family Partner goals in IEPs, and engaging parents/caregivers in activities to address those goalsQualifications:
High School diploma/GED with two (2) years of experience working with children and youth or Associates/Bachelor's degree in a human services field with one (1) or more years of experience working with children and youth Must be a parent, guardian or caregiver of a youth with special needs, and/or behavioral health needs. Experience in navigating children and families within the education system. Must have the ability to communicate with other parents in a supportive and non-judgmental manner regarding their needs. Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from work and for providing services in the community Bilingual and bicultural skills are a plus. Bilingual candidates fluent in a needed language may be eligible for a 6% salary increaseSchedule:
