This role focuses on complex commercial litigation and construction law, including disputes involving contracts, mechanics liens, delays, defects, and high-stakes business matters. The ideal candidate can independently manage cases from pre-suit through trial, including motion practice, depositions, and discovery, while contributing to case strategy and client advocacy.
Responsibilities:
Handle all phases of litigation, including discovery, depositions, and motion practice. Draft pleadings, briefs, and other legal documents. Represent clients in hearings, mediations, and other proceedings. Manage case strategy, deadlines, and client communications. Assist with trial preparation and collaborate with internal teams.
Qualifications:
J.D. and admission to the Maryland Bar (DC/VA a plus). 5+ years of commercial litigation experience, with construction law preferred. Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills. Experience with depositions, motions, and discovery management. Ability to manage multiple matters independently.
