Job Description

The Ford Agency is actively looking for an attorney to join a boutique law firm in downtown Bethesda. This is a terrific role for a candidate with about 1 year of experience in litigation or personal injury who is looking for a team that provides genuine mentorship and career development. Responsibilities Include:
Handle range of cases from intake to settlement or trial Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery requests Represent clients at pre-trial hearings and advocate at bench and jury trials Interface with opposing counsel and third parties for settlement negotiations Trial prep, outlines, memos, and direct and cross-examination of witnesses
Qualifications Include:
J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school Active member in good standing with the Maryland Bar and D.C. Bar (or ability to waive in) 1+ years of experience in Civil Litigation or Personal Injury Excellent research and writing skills and strong analytical skills Familiarity with legal research databases, such as Lexis-Nexis, Westlaw, Bloomberg, and PACER Experience with Neos case management software a plus Strong interpersonal skills and ability interact with different constituencies (other attorneys, clients, courtroom officials) Desire to learn and grow in a mentoring and collegial environment
Compensation:
$65,000 - $105,000 annually Candidates for this position must be based in DC, MD, or VA area or have independent plans for relocation. The Ford Agency is a recruiting firm based in Washington, DC.
