Duties Help Serves as a senior torney for litigion in Federal Courts involving the Air Force with responsibility for planning and accomplishing diversified legal work pertaining to litigion mters arising out of Air Force civilian personnel and labor mters. Duties rele to the protection of equal employment opportunity and the civilian personnel policy interest of the Air Force. As lead counsel, defends the Air Force world-wide all command levels in administrive litigion of cases before the FLRA, EEOC, MSPB, FSIP, FMCS, OSC, federal sector arbitrors, ste Unemployment Compension agencies, ste Worker's Compension agencies and officials directed to adjudice grievances through the Agency Grievance Procedure. Advises the Secretary of the Air Force, Chief of Staff level, Air Staff level, Senior Program managers, and MAJCOM level personnel on the development of HQ USAF-level policy reling to civilian personnel mters. Interprets and develops, or prepares interpretive and administrive positions. Assists in interpreting and developing HQ USAF directive and regulions in the area of federal employee and labor law. Trains judge advoces, civilian torneys, paralegals, personnel specialists, equal employment opportunity specialists, commanders, managers, and supervisors on all aspects of labor and employment law to ensure observion of regulions, law, and the Constitution. You MUST have successfully completed a full course of study in a school of law accredited by the American Bar Associion (ABA) and have the first professional law degree (LLB or JD). (KSAs): Your qualificions evalued on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: In depth knowledge of the Federal Labor Management Relions Stute and reled stutes and regulions, and FLRA case law, Federal Court case law interpreting the stute, and DoD/AF issuances implementing them and In depth knowledge of the Title VII, ADEA, Rehabilition Act and other anti-discriminion laws and the Federal Regulions associed with those laws, EEOC case law, EEOC Management Directives, Federal Court case law interpreting the stutes, and DoD/AF issuances implementing them. In depth knowledge of the stutes governing the MSPB, implementing regulions, MSPB case law, Federal Court case law interpreting the stute, and DoD/AF issuances implementing them and in depth knowledge of Federal Rules for Civil Procedure, and litigion techniques necessary for the defense of the AF in administrive and judicial forums. In depth knowledge of other administrive forums in which the LLFSC practices such as the FSIP, FMCS, OSC, etc. Ability to defend the AF before administrive and judicial forums and ability to perform legal research using electronic and traditional means. Ability to gher facts and effectively evalue and analyze them to develop evidence to support AF litigion positions and skill in communicing both orally and in writing. Ability to establish work priorities and delege tasks and knowledge of DoD and AF structure and chain of command.
